Formed in January 1989 by people, whose common bond was a love and understanding of paper as a medium in its own right.
The purpose of the group is to provide mutual support for hand papermakers through the exchange of ideas and information,
discussion and demonstrations
To promote the craft to a wider audience by a regular program of exhibitions and workshops,
and to encourage a greater appreciation of the complex processes involved in the production of quality handmade papers,
from a diversity of fibres
